MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He worked together with Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo is a product of a family of musicians both his parents are both musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. In his childhood he was taught how to play guitar, the piano and the ukulele. Although his first career choice was becoming a veterinarian for animals, his brother Julian advised him to begin taking singing lessons from a Cuban. It transformed his life forever.
