Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
